Acupuncture has been used for centuries to treat a number of conditions and can be extremely beneficial in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems (problems effecting the muscle and joints and the specific systems that effect them.). Sarah is a qualified Acupuncturist and is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP)

Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology taping is believed to be useful in the reduction of painful musculoskeletal conditions and can be a useful tool in improving proprioception (body's awareness of itself) especially helpful when addressing postural changes when riding.

Massage, soft tissue mobilisation and muscle energy techniques

Massage and soft tissue mobilisations can be hugely beneficial in the management of injury and discomfort.  It has also been shown to boost the immune system and can assist with reducing inflammation.  Muscle energy techniques can be used to activate weaker muscle and "switch them on" during riding.

Sarah is an APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) certified instructor and will be able to design a bespoke exercise programme to enhance your balance, flexibility and strength ensuring a balanced and centred seat.

Kinetic Link Training

Sarah is a certified level one Kinetic Link Trainer.   Kinetic link training is an approach to biomechanically balanced, full-body resistance training. As symmetry is crucial in horse riding, it is the perfect training tool to maximise performance.  There are also positive holistic side effects, developing a strong, toned, energised body which moves with ease, efficiency and control.
